Day 15: Bettyhill to John O'Groats . . . 52 Miles - DONE IT!



Yes, we have done it . . . 15 days of cycling average speed 13.5 mph for the slow ones . . . average of 70 miles per day. 1001 miles in total . . . Rain for 8 days . . . John O' Groats is a beautiful place . . . Met with another team . . . the air ambulance guys from the north west of England . . . good bunch of lads . . . Roy (Real name Danny), Hernia man . . . didn't get his name but apparently he has two hernias and he had to "pop" them back in during his ride . . . Many thanks to the Temple Bar Lodge for a massive donation that takes us over the £2k mark for our sponsored charity, it's not too late to donate . . . site closes 1.10.08 go on . . . every little helps . . .

Day 14: Conon Bridge to Bettyhill . . . 84 miles

Weather was the best yet . . . sunshine all the way . . . we stopped at Crask Inn in the middle of nowhere . . . midges . . . midges . . . midges . . . but the landlady and the Dutch helper were quite interesting to say the least . . .

Bettyhill Hotel overlooks a fantastic bay . . .

Day 13: Dalwhinnie to Conon Bridge . . . 80 miles

Only one shower this day . . . the weather was kind to us . . . Conon Bridge Hotel has a good menu and a very good chef . . .

Day 12: Perth to Dalwhinnie . . . 73 miles

The weather was bad again . . . two punctures, both on Dromoctor pass . . . 10 yards apart . . . Dalwhinnie is twinned with Las Vegas! Fantastic casino's
